Gratitude over Expectation

Here's my thought for the day: I think I can find more fulfillment by striving to replace expectations with gratitude.

Over the next week, whenever I catch myself expecting something out of life, I'm going to strive to change the feeling of expectation into a feeling of gratitude instead.

For example, today, I'm feeling like I ran out of time to finish everything I wanted to finish. I had the expectation of getting more done and I got stressed when I didn't accomplish everything. But, the truth is, I did as much as I could! So, instead of dwelling on what I didn't get done, I'm going to try and focus on what I did get done, like writing this blog post!

If possible, I'd like to take 10 minutes every morning and focus a few things I really feel grateful for. I think that might help to keep things in perspective throughout the day.
